We started out in 1980 designing furniture and lighting for the hospitality market primarily following trends within Europe and USA, obviously with an African spin. We partnered in specialized projects with bespoke applications worldwide, manufacturing in many different materials. In 2010 we were asked to design furniture & lighting for a physician’s family home in India. His scope included "a unique design, that stands out worldwide, the finishes to be predominantly gold, black and silver, subtle ambient shadows cast without the light bulb being visible. The furniture & lighting must have a similar look and feel and blend in harmoniously. A 20-year full warrantee, with no conditions attached other than force and fire". We had recently designed product for Taiwan using laser cut aluminum parts finished in powder paint- a new technical development since 2008. The end result was a resounding success. ​Since then, we have developed and achieved cost effective processes that allow us to design and engineer intricate yet robust products. The combination of engineering and finishing (both anodizing and powder coating) multiple aluminium parts is not easy and can be very expensive. Our engineers have developed a unique way of effecting this with remarkably professional results. We are the only company that currently produces these products using aluminium as a base material. ​The elimination of all welding in our engineering and production has allowed exports to be effected in flat-pack and, with assembly carried out by accredited teams at destination, delivery of completed product is quick, reliable and quality assured.
